Mind of Megan

Excited/Nervous for tomorrow

Tomorrow is my first observation and critique teaching.  Let’s be honest..it’s me we’re talking about so naturally I’ve known the lesson I wanted to do for a while and have had the plan written since the beginning of the week.   But, there’s one HUGE difference between teaching a general ed.class and teaching a substantially separate class… NOTHING will go as planned.  That’s the part I’m nervous about.  I’m essentially going to be critiqued on how i’m going to react when a child throws a desk, has a seizure, hits another student, tells me they are “gonna punch me in the throat” (no lie..this happened today) and really how I manage these situations.  These things I cannot plan!

But then it’s my first February vacation (I usually work through breaks) :)  Granted, I have a SHIT TON of assignments to do, I am very excited to not set an alarm all week. Things I want to do over the week:

  • Clean out my car so I can put my new air freshener in
  • Open a savings account and transfer my taxes over there
  • clean out my closets at my mom’s house and donate a million bags of clothes
  • get my hair done (I have in forever!)
  • Take Lucy for a hike
  • try out AT LEAST 2 new recipes
  • Celebrate my best friend and mom’s birthday
  • relax as much as possible
  • get a good chunk of work done

that’s it…I guess.
